Cam Roth himself released a video on his YouTube channel earlier today announcing that a pop up event would be held on August 29th titled Prelude to Ascendance. Mr. Roth had the following to says.
"Sup y'all? We're having us a little show before the first show. My intentions were to give Tapp the first shot at Knox but with his sudden retirement we need a number one contender that's gonna face the champ at Ascendance. So here's what we're gonna do. August 29th we're setting up a ring out in the parking lot of the PWV Headquarters here in Tampa and wer'e gonna have us a couple of Four Way Title Eliminator Matches and the winners of those two matches will open Ascendance before facing Matt in the Main Event for the strap."
When asked who would be taking part in the title eliminators Cam responded with this.
"Well I know that we're coming up on 30 folks signed in a very short amount of time which is amazing and all these people that signed that weren't part of the Roth Invitationals will get their shots in due time but I gotta go with people who have proven themselves to me already. So we're gonna have Lash, Don, Bruce, Atara, Ulf, Kasey, Sasha, and good old El D in the title eliminators. How that shakes out as far as which four will be in each match will be announced this Sunday on Twitter so keep an eye out for that."
Before ending the video Cam pointed to his Appalachian Alien Cannabis t-shirt and mouthed the words, "Get ya some!"
