Camden Roth III, is a twenty one year old lifelong wrestling fan and the heir to the billion dollar Roth Pharmaceuticals. Cam grew up in a small West Virginia town where his family basically owned everything. Having watched the damage that the drugs his family manufactured had done to the entire country, especially his own hometown, Cam began rebelling at an early age. At fourteen years old Cam sued his parents for emancipation and won.
Throughout his teens Cam gained national media attention for his stand against youth opioid addiction. He used social media and his high profile image to advocate for more "natural" medicines to treat the same conditions that the laboratory produced compounds his family had made a fortune "poisoning people'' with since his father took over the day to day business operations in the late 1990s.
When Cam's grandfather, a third grade educated backwoods hillbilly who accidentally mixed a combination of drugs that ended up making him one of the richest men in the World just trying to get high back in the 70s finally listened to his grandson about the corrupt practices Camden II had implemented he took control of the company back. He made Cam the sole heir to the family business and set up a $417,000,000 trust which became available to Cam on his 21st birthday back in December of 2020.
Wanting to use part of his trust to benefit an industry he had loved his entire life, Cam decided to launch The Roth Invitational Tournament. The Roth Invitational was a one night tournament which was held at the Staples Center in January 2021 featuring wrestlers that Cam hand selected with a prize of $1,000,000. The winner of the first Roth Invitational was El Diablo Blanco.
In July of 2021 Cam still had money to burn and he upped the stakes. The second Roth Invitational Tournament was held featuring eight returning stars and eight first time participants who competed at Madison Square Garden for a prize of $1,000,000. An additional $1,000,000 was offered to the winner if they pick up the option to train Cam to become a professional wrestler himself. The winner had the option to decline and the second $1,000,000 would have then been offered to the runner up and so on until one of the participants agreed to train young Cam Roth for a career inside the squared circle.
On July 30th, Matthew "The Raven" Knox won the second Roth Invitational Tournament and was presented with the $1,000,000 prize for winning, the additional $1,000.000 for agreeing to train Cam, the customary trophy, and a championship belt. As the show concluded a logo for Pro Wrestling Valor appeared on the big screen at MSG and the next day Cam announced that he would be launching the new company with shows running on a monthly basis. The belt the was awarded to Matt Knox for winning the Roth 2 was the PWV World Championship. With Cam training for his eventual in ring debut, the day to day operations of the promotion will be ran by a group of unnamed wrestling veterans who Cam has trusted to run his company in his vision.
