A podium is set up in front of a huge backdrop, with dozens of pro wrestling media outlets gathered around with cameras and digital recorders. The crowd of reporters begin to stir when the normally colorful PWV founder Cam Roth steps out on the stage. His typically wild hairstyle is replaced just by a simple bun and his attire is simply a pair of plaid shorts and a green polo shirt, replacing the loud outfits he customarily wears. Cam approaches the podium and the crowd dies down.
Cam Roth: First of all I'd like to thank you all for being here. The story of PWV has a lot of ups and downs. It started as a rich kids dream come true and it became the closest thing professional wrestling has to a true All Star Game because we brought together talent from every major promotion in the industry. Then it turned into a vendetta against an egomaniac asshole that ended up with that same asshole that's now my father in law taking my company and running it into the ground. The fiasco that was to be Suplex Island 2 bankrupted Pro Wrestling Valor. I announced the return before I realized I didn't have the money to put on a show.
A collective sigh came from the crowd. Cam holds a hand up.
Cam Roth: Lemme finish. Thanks to some returning talent agreeing to work for free until we get reestablished as the powerhouse we were when we launched in 2021 this show will happen. Now, I got ahead of myself and announced a date and venue before realizing that I couldn't afford the Bridgestone Arena's fees. Which brings me to this…
The curtain drops revealing the former Indian Rocks Amphitheater, just south of Tampa had a new name… The Valor Amphitheater.
Cam Roth: This building was about to be torn down to provide additional parking for beach goers but the same guy that nearly killed PWV saved it by purchasing this beautiful old building to exclusively host our shows. By the time PWV presents We Rise! from right here at the Valor Amphitheater one month from today on Sunday, August 13th it will have been completely remodeled and turned into a state of the art professional wrestling arena with the breathtaking view of Indian Rocks Beach in the background.
A round of applause from the media before people start raising their hands to ask questions.
Cam Roth: I know this was announced as a press conference but I'm afraid there's only one member of the professional wrestling media that I'm willing to talk to and it's that man right there.
Cam points to Denzel Porter sitting in the front row looking as shocked as everyone else.
Cam Roth: Sometime between now and We Rise! I will have a sit down interview with Mr. Porter to talk about the PWV return, the talent we've signed, and probably the question that's on the minds of anyone who followed PWV in the past and that's why I no longer wish death on Matthew Knox. In closing, I just want to thank everyone for being here and I want to thank Matt. Thank you, Dad. PWV is back! And we're going to be the talk of the industry for years to come.
Cam walks off the stage and the scene fades.
